The countdown has begun!

So, this happened this week....

































 Our completed foundation!


And, today, Don, Will and Nate took out several more trees, creating a wide, clear path from the driveway to the foundation....


Unfortunately, we will not have a house in time for Thanksgiving....HOWEVER...it looks like we will have it for our Christmas celebration!  To be more exact...well, slightly more exact - "on or about" Monday, December 18th, we are told.  



In other news....

Last weekend, we adopted this little guy, found by friends of ours in Lancaster County.  Initially, we thought he was a "she", but now, we are confident that "Mickey" is male!  
He reminds me SO much of Leo, in many ways.  He's quite entertaining!


And, yesterday...Veteran's day AND Rosie's birthday, this friendly, though still skitterish, youngster showed up on our barn threshold.  Definitely a "she"!  My guess is that she will come and go as she pleases, however, I'd like to have her spayed if she's gonna hang around.



Happy 16th Birthday, Rosie!  We'll be heading to the DMV later this week for the learner's permit test...Gotta teach one more teen to drive...Lord, Have Mercy!
